Alex and Chris Kuhlow, members of Calvary Bible Church in Neenah, Wisconsin, have been serving as missionaries in the Philippines since 1998, (The first 11 years they served with TEAM. They are currently serving with First Love International.) They have two grown children, Ashley, and Joseph. Although their main ministry has been serving on staff at Faith Academy for the past 10 years, by God’s grace they started a new outreach to poor families at a nearby resort community in March of 2003.
Threads of Hope, Inc. is the result of that outreach. The Kuhlows’ livelihood depends on the prayers and financial support of those that have a heart for the lost and hurting of this world. As a result, God has allowed them to launch this ministry without receiving any compensation from the sales of the products produced by these families. From the Board of Directors down, everyone involved with Threads of Hope serves voluntarily from a heart of compassion for those they hope to bless. This means that 100 percent of the profits from the sale of the products go back to benefit the communities that make them.
